When we apply for a Resident Permit, we are required to show who our sponsors are. We are also required to show how they are related to us. This is done through a document called |"Relationship Certificate" or "Relationship Verification Certificate". This certificate is issued by the local government or the local ward office at the request of the applicant.
Caution
Before we move on to how to make these documents, I want to warn you that you have to make this "Relationship Certificate" simultaneously with other documents on the same day at the same time which include address verification, annual income certificate, and tax clearance report.
Documents required
1. Copy of citizenships of people whom you want to verify your relationship with.
2. Two passport-size photos of each person.
3. A written application that mentions the purpose of the certificate, the name of applicant and the sponsors or the people with whom you want to verify your relationship with and their relationship with you (the applicant).
Step-by-Step Procedure
1. Go to your respective ward office and provide the documents along with the application to one of the ward officers.
2. Then those applications and documents will be forwarded to the Ward Chairman for authorization.
3. Then, the officer will type and print the document and give it to you. PS: The officer will give you two documents, one will be kept by the ward office.
4. After that, you have to put the photos of respective sponsors on both documents.
5. Then the Ward Chairman will sign on top of each photo and stamp on them. He/she will finally sign the document below.
6. After signing, you will have to pay the fees and reference number will be added to your certificate.
