How to show Agricultural Income?

 While applying for a Resident Permit, you need to submit your sources of income of your sponsors. You can show various sources of income like salary, business, land lease and rent. We will discuss all of these sources in later articles. This one is specially dedicated to showing agricultural income. This article will first go through, where and how you can make these documents, what documents are required to do so and what amount of cost is charged to make these documents. And, I will also provide you with samples to make your life easy.

About Agriculture Documents

In agriculture documents, you need to prepare two kinds of documents. One document will show your income from agriculture (Agriculture Income Certificate) while the other will state the fact that your agricultural income is exempted from tax(Tax Clearance Certificate). These documents are made by the local government or ward office of the place where your land is located. These documents must be signed by the Ward Chairman to make them valid. The income amount should be converted into Euro.

Documents Required

1. Land owner papers (धनि पुर्जाor लाल पुर्जा)

2. The receipt that says you have paid the land tax for the year ( मालपोत तिरेको रशिद). 

3. Citizenship of the person who owns the land. 

4. Two written applications for each document (सिफारिस).

Step by Step process to make the document

1. Go to your respective ward office and make sure that the Ward Chairman is present there. 

2. Submit all the documents to the officer on the counter and mention the documents you want to make. 

3. If you have already written the application, then the officer will begin the process, if not you'll have to write it down yourself. 

4. Then when the application is checked by the officer, he/she will send you to the Ward Chairman to authorize (it is called तोक लगाउनु but I am not sure what it is called in English)

5. The ward officer will see your documents and application and write an order on the application to make the required documents. 

6. Then, you submit the documents again to the officer. 

7. Depending on where the ward is, the officer will either type the document on his own or will have you provide the template. 

8. When the documents are typed, the officer will give it to you for review. 

9. After reviewing is done, the documents will be printed in pairs of two. One pair will be kept by the ward office. 

10. You will have to take those documents to the ward office for signature. 

11. After that, you will need to pay the fees for those documents to the Ward Office. 

12. Then, the officer will write the Reference Number on your documents (चलानी नम्बर) and Stamp it with the official seal. 

13. And there you have it, your documents are made. 

The cost of making these documents

Each document will cost you around Rs. 525 and each lakh of income will further cost extra 100 rupees.

Tax Clearance Certificate


                                                   Subject: Agriculture Tax Clearance


 To Whom It May Concern


This certificate is issued on the request of Mr. (sponsor name), permanent resident of (permanent address of sponsor), (Previous address if any), to certify that under the Income Tax Act 205813.S. (2002 A.D.), Chapter 4 Section II Clause I, government tax is exempted for agricultural income from agriculture for (sponsors name/land owner’s name), (Plot number as in land owner papers). Hence, (sponsor or land owner’s name) has no pending dues to be paid to this Municipality.

 

Things to remember while preparing these documents

 1. If your sponsor has one permanent address and has his land at another address. Then, you must use the actual permanent address, not the address where the land is. For this, it would be beneficial to carry a migration certificate.


2. When you are writing the application, please clearly mention what are the sources within agriculture like (Rice, Vegetables and all).


3. Make sure you get the Ward Chairman to sign the documents, not the acting Chairman.
